Teresa Wade, MBA
Teresa’s goal with every sustainability project is to create results driven, unique solutions to impact an organization’s triple bottom line, but also to inspire others to be sustainability ambassadors. She is a dynamic personality with sharp communication and negotiation skills to develop win-win outcomes, and is known for promoting the business case for sustainability to convey that sustainability is simply good business sense. With an MBA from Belmont University focused in marketing and negotiations, and a Graduate Certification in Sustainability from Lipscomb University, she understands the necessary components for sustainable business success. Teresa participates in global discussions about Sustainable Brands to ensure that the consultancy’s work aligns with and exceeds international standards.
In addition to her role with Sustainable Solutions, Teresa founded Experience Green, a nonprofit organization based on Hilton Head Island, SC that hosted the first Sustainability in Golf symposium in the US in 2013 and 2014, attracting industry leaders from across the country. She was the catalyst and negotiator with more than 50 stakeholder groups to fund and support a Baseline Sustainability Assessment (carbon footprint measurement) of Hilton Head Island in 2014. Teresa chaired the first Sustainability Advisory Committee for Hilton Head Island, and recently served in the Branch Leadership Group for the USGBC Savannah Branch. Her portfolio includes work with Bear Creek Golf Club, Mosaic Resort and Golf Management, Gulfstream Aerospace, the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, and the Institute for Sustainable Practice at Lipscomb University. Teresa is a TN Rule 31 Business Mediator Candidate, and is a nationally pursued speaker on the topic of sustainability in golf. She is a member of the NGCOA, GCSAA and CGCSA, and is originally from Stone Mountain, GA, Teresa is an avid golfer, songwriter, enjoys pilates, running and being Mom to her Vizsla canine kid.
William Paddock, MBA
Before joining the Sustainable Solutions team, William served as the first Sustainability Manager for Mars, Inc. an American global manufacturer of pet and other food products. While at Mars, he was exposed to the broad nature of sustainability and the challenges of managing it at an enterprise level. He learned firsthand how to prioritize sustainability issues, manage competing stakeholders, and generate budgets for sustainability projects. His experiences as a sustainability manager lead him to create one of Sustainable Solutions’ partners, WAP Sustainability, an award winning consulting group. William is known for his straight forward approach to sustainability that offers business leaders a pragmatic, unbiased, third-party opinion designed to broaden and accelerate sustainability initiatives.
He has worked with a variety of Fortune 500 companies, manufacturers, federal agencies, local governments and non-profits, including leaders in consumer and building products, and the golf industry. His expertise is focused on helping organizations navigate sustainability in a coordinated and prioritized manner using key sustainability metrics. He also teaches graduate courses on Sustainable Enterprise at Lipscomb University’s Institute for Sustainable Practice, and serves on the Board of the Climate Adaptation focused organization, The Model Forest Policy Program. William holds a B.S. in Environmental Science, an MBA from the Institute for Sustainable Practice at Lipscomb University, is an EP(GHG) Professional, a graduate of the Environmental Leadership Institute, and is Global Reporting Initiative Certified. He grew up in Ohio and graduated from the University of Alabama. In his spare time, William is an avid sportsman hunting deer, turkey, waterfowl and chasing fish in the Gulf of Mexico.
Brad McAllister, M.S.
Brad contributes high-level experience in both the public and private sectors to the Sustainable Solutions team. His quantitative approach to finding and achieving honest environmental solutions has been honed through years of work and research in the non-profit, government and for-profit sectors. Clients consistently use the word “helpful” in describing Brad’s engagement with their teams. He has been named a “power user” of LCA software suites GaBi and SimaPro, and has conducted and reviewed over 50 different LCAs and overseen the measurement of nearly 50 million metric tons of greenhouse gasses.
Brad has an affinity for process and standardization that provides application of varied experience to enhance work in multiple industries. He has worked as a field scientist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and with the City of Chattanooga’s sustainability and greenhouse gas management program. Brad played a critical role in Chattanooga’s development and adoption of the city’s award winning climate action plan. He holds a B.S. in Ecology from the University of Georgia, an M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, is an EP(GHG) Professional, is a graduate of the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute, is an ACLCA Certified LCA Practitioner. As a Georgia Born world traveler, Brad is a loving father to his daughter and an outstanding dog owner to his Australian Shepherd. Brad is an active runner, biker, climber, sailer, gardener, and mandolin apprentice.
